We’re excited to co-host this informative webinar with Environment Hamilton, and the Bay Area Climate Change Council featuring a panel discussion on building green and for the future across our two communities, with Keith Burrows of The Atmospheric Foundation, Gaby Kalapos of the Clean Air Partnership, and Victoria Coffin of Bay Area Climate Change Council.

The Mysteries of Migration with Bob Bell

Amazing Bob is back for his 6th webinar with BurlingtonGreen!

Join us at the Royal Botanical Gardens on Thursday, March 27th, 6-8 pm, for Alice in Bloomland hosted by the Rocca Sisters, with entry via a donation to support BurlingtonGreen. We’re also collecting electronic waste and unwanted/broken gold and silver for recycling. And providing fun all-ages eco-action at our BG table.

Community Clean Up Green Up is on NOW!

Be a part of this city-wide initiative to help keep Burlington clean, green and beautiful. Organizing a safe, fun and rewarding litter clean up is a terrific way to enjoy the outdoors while helping the planet locally. Gather your family, friends, community group, coworkers and classroom, and help remove litter from our parks, creeks, school yards, neighbourhoods and more.

Join us for Earth Day at the Beach - April 19th

Celebrate Earth Day with a meaningful day of family-friendly action, learning and community spirit!

The Rotary Club of Burlington Central and BurlingtonGreen invite you to join our FREE Earth Day at the Beach on Saturday, April 19th, 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.

You can work together with other community members to clean up our beautiful shoreline and learn about ways we can all make a difference to protect our environment.

Support a more nature-friendly community by purchasing one or more of our native plant kits this year

While supplies last, kits for sun-loving, shade-loving, rain-loving and monarch gardens are available, as well as four types of native wildflower seed packets prepared by BurlingtonGreen volunteers.

100% of the proceeds from the plant kit and seed sales directly support our Nature-Friendly Burlington programming to protect and care for local green space and habitat.

Let's Grow Burlington's Tree Canopy Together

Open to Burlington residents, students, groups, business employees, while space remains, this tree-ific event provides a rewarding opportunity to be a a part of local collective impact.

Hosted by BurlingtonGreen and the City of Burlington Forestry Department, the Green Up event on Saturday, April 26th, provides an important (and fun) opportunity for the community to come together to plant trees to beautify the city while strengthening local biodiversity and helping to address climate change here at home.

Spring Eco Action at the Beach - Saturday, May 3

BurlingtonGreen and Rotary Club of Burlington Central invite the community for a free family-friendly day of eco-action and learning on Saturday, May 3rd at BurlingtonGreen’s Eco Hub (1094 Lakeshore Road).

A Guided Bird Walk (8 am), Beach Clean Up (9:30 am) and Pollinator-friendly Nature Walk (11:00 am) all require advance registration, opening in mid April.

All ages are welcome to also drop in between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm for more eco-fun!

Spring Electronics Drop Off & Repair Cafe

Start gathering your broken and unwanted electronic and other items to be recycled as you get ready to come on by to our May 24th Zero Waste extravaganza!

On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. BurlingtonGreen is teaming up with the Burlington Centre and Tech Genius Burlington Inc. to host this popular and convenient event to help you eliminate clutter from your homes, offices, schools and community centres. Another way that BurlingtonGreen is working to help Burlingtonians take action locally!

Eco Action with us at the beach!

Located at the historic Pump House at 1094 Lakeshore RdBeachway Park, pop by our Eco-Hub on weekends and holidays May and June and daily starting July 1st, for a variety of eco-awareness, advocacy, and action opportunities!
