Tim O’Brien: On top of the excellent Burlington Climate Action Plan, there are other opportunities to mitigate climate change right here locally.  Imagine a sheltered runway going from the downtown core to our mobility hubs, that can only be accessed by people walking, bicycles, scooters and ebikes.  

Another area where Burlington can mitigate climate change is in the area of busing. I noticed that half empty school buses and half empty city buses travel on the same routes.  In some areas of the city, we could cut our carbon footprint in half by combining the two bus services.
