Join the National Butt Blitz!

This year BG is returning as an Official Butt Blitz Partner as part of A Greener Future‘s Nationwide Campaign.

If you are 19+, you are encouraged to collect cigarette butts separately from other litter as part of your community clean-up. We will send them to TerraCycle Canada for recycling. If you are collecting butts, let us know how many when you submit your clean-up data/photos, and drop off your butts to us at our Eco-Hub at Burlington Beach on Earth Day (April 27th), or at our Zero Waste Drop off (May 25th) at the Burlington Centre parking lot. You can also participate in a BG Butt Blitz during our Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 27th.

Pro Tip: Upcycle a container to collect your butts, and count how many it takes to fill one container. Every additional container filled will have roughly the same amount as container #1.
