Megha is a strategic and collaborative leader with a commitment to building a more equitable and sustainable healthcare system, particularly in the dynamic regions of Halton, Peel, Toronto, and Hamilton. A lifelong resident of the Greater Toronto Area, Megha’s passion for the intersection of health and the environment was sparked by an undergraduate course at McMaster University. This foundational experience shaped her career path and inspired her ongoing dedication to improving community health.
Her professional journey spans a range of high-impact roles, including work with a local public health unit, Canada’s largest mental health and addictions hospital, and the country’s foremost research hospital. In 2024, Megha joined one of Ontario’s busiest community hospitals, located in a vibrant and rapidly growing area known for its cultural diversity. Her role here reflects her dedication to advancing healthcare access and equity in one of the province’s most diverse and fast-developing communities.
In December 2024, Megha expanded her impact by joining BurlingtonGreen. She sees her involvement with BurlingtonGreen as a chance to connect with the local community, actively contribute to sustainability initiatives, and grow as a stronger advocate for the environment.
A lifelong learner, Megha embraces new challenges each year, whether it’s acquiring a new language, sport, or hobby. Recent pursuits include swimming, tennis, and gardening. She views these experiences as opportunities to continue evolving both as a leader and as an individual.
