Jignesh was born in India and migrated to Canada with his family in 2005. He spent most of his early days in Etobicoke and Brampton. He now lives with his wife and daughter in Oakville, Ontario.
He is a Chartered Professional Accountant by profession and has experience in finance, accounting, and risk management in the public sector as well as through involvement with other non-for-profit organizations. He is an avid traveller and enjoys spending time outdoors through sports, camping and going on relaxing motorcycle rides.
He has a deep-rooted passion for the environment and is a committed advocate for climate change. He is excited to encourage people to make healthy, eco-friendly, and sustainable changes that not only enhance their well-being but also contribute positively to their community and the planet at large.
Acknowledging – Honouring – Acting
In Burlington, our work with the community takes place within the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and
we recognize this land as being home and the traditional territory to Indigenous people since time
immemorial.
We honour all past and present First Nation, Métis and Inuit people, and we recognize their leadership in protecting and caring for Mother Earth. We join them in honouring and respecting the land, waters, plants, animals, four directions, and all of the wonderful elements of creation that exist.
BurlingtonGreen has much to learn from Indigenous People and we encourage everyone to continually learn from and about the Indigenous community where you live, and how we can each meaningfully honour the calls to action for Truth and Reconciliation.
