2012 Eco-Film Festival
BurlingtonGreen in partnership with the Burlington Central Library was pleased to present the 2012 Eco-Film festival.
Watch ~ Learn & Take action provides a valuable opportunity for audiences to learn about global environmental issues by watching award winning documentaries and then sharing ideas on how the issues can be addressed locally.
In 2012 we presented 5 impactful documentaries about important environmental issues that threaten the health of our planet.

All films were shown at Central Library (2331 New Street, Burlington) with a $5 admission at the door.

Doors opened at 6:30 with films beginning promptly at 7:00 pm.

We host green events inviting participants to bring their own mug for a complimentary refreshment and to carpool/public transit if possible.

*March 21: In honour of Canada Water Week we presented:
White Water, Black Gold - an investigative point-of-view documentary that follows David Lavallee on his three-year journey across western Canada in search of answers about the activities of the world's thirstiest oil industry:the Tarsands.

*October 24:In honour of Canada's Waste Reduction Week we presented:
The Clean Bin Project: Is it possible to live completely waste free? Partners Jen and Grant go head to head in a competition to see who can swear off consumerism and produce the least landfill garbage in an entire year. Their light-hearted competition is set against a darker examination of the sobering problem waste in North American society.
